The targeted use of fast-rotating and compact fans represents a sensible solution for high air pressure applications. Increasing rotation speed and performance requires the optimisation of the entire system in terms of the degree of effectiveness, component stress and acoustics. Improving air flow in the wheel and casing and reducing the bearing load and force on the wheel caused by centrifugal forces and vibration stresses are just some of the issues involved.
